If for example you're holding a hand that totals 15, such as '7,8', and the Dealer is showing a 6, you're in the position where you can decide who receives the next card.

Decide to hit, and if you receive a 7 or higher you’ll go bust. However if that card goes to the Dealer he's likely to end up with a total in the mid teens and then go bust upon drawing a third card.
