Pacific Poker: Bringing you more ways to win

Sarah Simmons - 19 Mar 2008

Pacific Poker is offering you two more exciting ways for you to win at their tables: the Progressive Bad Beat and Royal Jackpots.

Pacific Poker has launched Bad Beat and Royal Jackpots at initial amounts of $5,000. This total increases in size with every hand played at their Jackpot tables.

How It Works:

It's simple — on Bad Beat tables you hit the Jackpot if you lose with a hand of Four-of-a-Kind 8s or better at the showdown. On Royal tables you hit the Jackpot with a Royal Flush. For every raked hand played on Jackpot tables, a contribution will be collected and added to the Jackpot total. That way, every time a hand is raked, the Jackpot grows.

Progressive Bad Beat Jackpot

  1. The Bad Beat Jackpot tables are listed in the "Hold'em" section under "Regular Tables" . They are labeled with the words "Bad Beat" in brackets beside the table name.
  2. The sum of the Jackpot is posted in the middle of the right side of the lobby.
  3. During the first rake step of the hand, an additional amount of 50¢ will automatically be transferred from the pot to the Jackpot and you are ready to take part in Jackpot action.
  4. The sum of the Jackpot is posted above the chip box. If you hit the Jackpot, you will be notified with a pop-up message.

Progressive Royal Jackpot

  1. The Royal Jackpot tables are listed in the "Hold'em" section under "Regular Tables". They are labeled with the words "Royal" in brackets beside the table's name.
  2. The sum of the Jackpot is posted in the middle of the right-hand side of the lobby.
  3. At the beginning of each hand, you will see a window notifying you that it is time to place your Jackpot Extra Bet. This window will appear at the beginning of each hand for a total of seven seconds. Click "Place Jackpot Bet" to participate in the Jackpot. The sum of the Jackpot is posted above the chip box.
  4. To indicate that you would like to automatically place a Jackpot Extra Bet on future hands, click the "Auto Post Jackpot Extra Bet" box in the lower left corner of the screen.
  5. To see which players placed Extra Jackpot Bets, look for an icon in the shape of a green spade in the player's name boxes. Players with a red spade in their name box did not place Extra Jackpot Bets.
  6. If you hit the Jackpot, you will be notified with a pop-up message.
